Join us at AstraZeneca as a Senior Medical Sales Representative in our Biopharmaceuticals Business Unit.
In this role, you will be responsible for generating demand for assigned brands on a designated territory by proactively identifying business opportunities, presenting value propositions aligned to stakeholder needs, and recommending solutions to drive business growth. This is a fixed-term contract for 1 year, with growth opportunities.
Accountabilities
Develop a local territory strategy and action plan to meet targets and improve the positioning of assigned products at a local level.
Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with HCPs, KOLs, pharmacies, and medical institutes to support territory objectives.
Conduct science-based discussions with HCPs in line with AstraZeneca product indications; arrange promotional meetings, workshops, and speaker programmes with physician advocates and KEEs.
Promote the benefits of assigned brands using fair balance messages and an appropriate mix of promotional tools and approved marketing materials.
Build in-depth knowledge of AstraZeneca's brand value proposition, product indications, and efficacy data, applying varied communication approaches and channels to support customer understanding.
Collect market insights, monitor competitive activity, and identify unmet needs and opportunities within the designated territory.
Successfully drive sales performance by achieving sales and non-sales targets on the designated territory.
Manage the territory budget in accordance with the territory business plan, as agreed with the Line Manager and Product Manager or Specialist.
Create one account plan annually and participate in account planning workshops.
Organise local seminars, workshops, and product presentations in a professional manner to support product promotion and strengthen the company's image.
Report accurately and on time in compliance with AstraZeneca SFE requirements to ensure KPI targets are met.
Lead by example and collaborate closely with Medical Representatives, KAMs, and MSLs.
Essential for the Role
University degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, or Dentistry
At least 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales
Proven success track record
Proven ability to understand and communicate scientific information
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational and planning skills
Customer-oriented mindset with personal initiative and motivation
Strategic thinking, sound judgement, and negotiation skills
Focus on effective decision-making and results
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and be a team player
Fluency in Serbian; good working knowledge of English
Computer literacy
Valid driving licence – Category B

Understanding of the medical and scientific aspects of the CVRM product range
Regional market and customer knowledge
